Ruth and Brian's Wedding in the Castlecourt Westport

06th August 2014

Ruth and Brian were recently married on a lovely sunny day in Belcarra Co Mayo.
This was my first occasion to do some shooting in Moore Hall after the ceremony was I was pretty happy with the way the weather panned out....glorious summer sunshine to avail of the beautiful landscape!

John Murphy of Avalon Video was working alongside me, and omens were good that we were gonna have a great day!
Thanks to Gerry and Nuala for the warm welcome when I arrived at Ruth's home and it was a hive of activity with bridesmaids Aisling, Amanda, Arlene and Louise getting ready along with young Evie breaking everyone hearts with her giggles!

Equally, Brian, Jonathon, Ger, Derek and Brendan were in boisterous form when i arrived at the church and all seemed game for a laugh.....a good recipe to have on a wedding day!

Belcarra church looked fabulous on the day of the wedding, the flowers in particular looking stunning. After the ceremony, we made the journey to the beautiful Moore Hall and availed of a couple of locations there to show off the lovely summer colors that were on display.

As always, I thoroughly enjoy working in the Castlecourt Hotel in Westport.....possibly the friendliest hotel that I work in and Vinny and his team are top drawer material when it comes to looking after couples! Ruth and Brian had organized some entertainment for guests to fill the gap between the meal and the speeches.....I haven't laughed as much in a long time, might stuff and great perfomances by the lads in the Bridal party too!!

Looking back on Ruth and Brian's big day, it's pretty evident from the photos that they enjoyed themselves....relaxed and absorbing the day, which in turn makes my day so much more enjoyable!!

Thanks for being a great family to work with lads (mustn't forget Evie) and I look forward to our paths crossing again in the near future!
