Wedding The Clayton Hotel Galway

17th December 2014

Anita and Ciaran were married on a wet and windy day during the Bank Holiday Weekend last October. Wet and windy days aren't the best for natural wedding photos but thanks to the arrangement that the Clayton Hotel has with Galway Crystal, we were able to use their fabulous show rooms after the ceremony for some shots.
Couples that I work with probably know that I don't like to be strangers with them prior to their wedding.....but the "man on the moon" would have been able to work with Anita such is her genuine laid back disposition and warm personality. Anita's bridesmaids were equally in good spirits on the morning of the wedding and I'm grateful to them for their help and assistance in Anita's home.
Ciaran and the lads were also in good spirits that morning at the church, and fair play to them for being up for a bit of fun all day....good lads to be around!
After the ceremony, we used the church for some family and bridal portraits before making the journey to Galway Crystal....a beautiful place and I'm truly grateful to the staff for their very accommodating manner and indeed good will shown to the Bridal Party.
The excellent Clayton Hotel was oour next port of call after this....a place I love working. Karina Duffy is the wedding co-ordinator.....also Ireland's Wedding Co-Ordinator of the Year (as voted by her passed brides) and creates a very friendly environment for not alone Brides and Grooms but indeed for all wedding vendors, thanks Karina.
There was some light entertainment during the meal...something that Anita and Ciaran weren't aware of at first...singing waitresses/security guards and Manageresses. They were great entertainment and had the place singing along during the meal. One other piece of entertainment (which was a first for me to see) was all guests receiving a free bet from John Mulholland bookmakers....indeed I was down stairs eating some dinner myself when I heard some yelping and hollering coming from the function room only to see guests roaring their horses on with horse races been shown live on the two big screens....might stuff altogether!
Jive Buddies provided the entertainment for the rest of the night and did a great job of keeping the dance floor full!

Thank you Anita and Ciaran for being two great people, and indeed for your very kind gifts when collecting your images. I thoroughly enjoyed your wedding and please God we'll cross paths in the near future again!
Some images from the day are below and a photo slideshow can also be viewed at the bottom of the page.
