Karen & Michael's Wedding in the Claregalway Hotel Galway

02nd August 2014
Without exception, this was the most fun I've had at a wedding....thanks so much to Karen and her two bridesmaids Angela and Sinéad!!! The one liners that were going back and forth during Karen's preparations in the morning were something else and I felt I was having the craic with 3 people that I'd known for a life time!! Angela and Sinéad were simply brilliant (as ogf course was Karen) and I thoroughly enjoyed our time together. Junior bridesmaids Niamh and Ciara as well as flowergirl Aisling were as jovial as the bridesmaids so all in all......it was probably the maddest (but most fun) house that I've called to on a wedding morning!
Michael (groom) was waiting patiently when I arrived at the church and his groomsmen JP and Geoff were in a calmer mode than that of the bridesmaids. We didn't have long to wait for the punctual bride and bridesmaids to arrive and for proceedings to kick off.
After the ceremony, we headed to the Pier in Annaghdown to avail of some outdoor photography, but after less than 5 minutes, rain started to fall heavily which made us take shelter in the cars. Fair play to Karen and Michael for waiting a couple of minutes and letting the shower pass over before we availed of some more photography on the grounds of the nearby ruins. Stephen Ward was covering Video and we both enjoyed the time we got in Annaghdown. En route back to the Claregalway Hotel, the bridal party made a quick "hydration" stop in Clarke's pub in Corrandulla before making our way back to the Claregalway Hotel for a super reception.

From the moment I called to Karen's house in the morning until when I finished later in the evening, I really enjoyed myself....as I mentioned earlier, I felt I was in the presence of people that I felt I knew a very long time and Karen, Michael and company, I'm very grateful for that!

I look forward to our paths crossing again and I wish you both the very best of luck together!
