Wedding Mount Falcon Hotel, Ballina Co Mayo

06th March 2013

Valerie and Adrian were married in Callow Co Mayo followed by a reception in the Mount Falcon Hotel Ballina Co Mayo.
I first met Valerie along with her mum early last year while working at a Wedding Fair in The Royal Theatre Castlebar. I was delighted when Valerie booked me a short while later for her special day as I had never worked in the Mount Falcon Hotel in Ballina her wedding venue.

Valerie's preparations took place in one of the lodges on the grounds of Mount Falcon and it was a pretty relaxed lodge that I entered that morning. Thanks to Valerie's mum Mary and bridesmaids Denise and Gemma for being great people to be around...... I'm sure Valerie was grateful to have them with her on her big morning.

A stunning looking Valerie!

After capturing some images of Valerie's preparations, I headed off to Callow to catch up with Adrian and his two groomsmen John and Gerry. They were in a jovial mood laughing and joking when I arrived....makes my job easier!

A lot of cameras and mobile phones on display as Valerie and adrian are pronounced Husband and Wife.

The priest's name doesn't come to me as I'm writing this, but he was a gentleman on the day of the wedding and celebrated the mass in a very upbeat and witty manner....great to have someone looking after you like that on your wedding day!

After Valerie and Adrian were finished shaking hands with all of their wedding guests, we headed for Mount Falcon in the hope that there wouldn't be much rain over there allowing us to show off some of the fantastic grounds that it offers....but alas, the rain was heavier when we arrived meaning that all of our shots were to be captured indoors.

I must commend that staff at the hotel for being so accommodating and professional. Understanding the predicament that we were in, they had reserved a large spacious room for photography meaning that we could capture images privately with no delays.

I really enjoyed my first experience in Mount Falcon and hope to have the opportunity to be back there soon again and hopefully get some shots showing off it's magnificent grounds.

Thanks Valerie and Adrian for letting me play a role on your wedding day, you were a great couple to work with!
