Wedding Lady Gregory Hotel Gort, Co Galway

18th June 2013

I first met up with Gina almost a year and a half prior to her wedding day, a well organized lady when it came to her big day! We met up in a hotel in Galway and had a talk about her wedding photography requirements, and after chatting with her, I was delighted to have the opportunity to work with her on hew special day.

Gina was organized with regards to her wedding, but also very relaxed about the whole affair, it was great to work with someone who seemed very relaxed on her day.....probably as a result of the hard work put in prior to it!

Hair and make up were in operation when I arrived in Gina's home, and Gina's parents Mary and John Joe were very relaxed....even though this was their first family wedding! Gloria and Mairéad were Gina's Bridesmaids and both looked almost as stunning as the bride herself.

Videographer Gary Loughlin arrived shortly afterwards, and Gary's relaxed disposition made us even more chilled.....almost too much so! Fair play to Gary for being able to tie a cravat for John Joe!

A short drive to the church ensued where I caught up with Gary and his groomsmen Damien and Stephen. It was a dry but very breezy day which meant we didn't stay outdoors for too long and headed into the shelter of Carron Church. Fair play to Gina, she didn't keep her guests waiting in the church!

I was able to knock some fun out of Joe, but I'm afraid I frightened the hell out of Tom......sorry little man!

As the weather was so windy, we used the church for some bridal portraits before heading off to the Lady Gregory Hotel in Gort for the reception and spend some more time capturing portraits.

I don't get too excited about dresses/hair etc, but I must commend Gina on the way her hair/make up and dress all complimented each other so well.....thought she looked fantastic!

Gina, and her beautiful bridesmaids Gloria & Mairéad.

Thank you Gina & Clinton for letting me play a part in your wedding day......a day I enjoyed despite the weather going against us. I wish you both the very best and I look forward to crossing paths in a couple of weeks again!

Feel free to watch a short slideshow video with some highlights of Gina & Clinton's wedding below!
