Wedding Claregalway Hotel Co Galway

23rd April 2015

Valerie and Darren were fortunate to have a sunny wedding on Valentine's day recently. Ironically I remember working the same day last year in Ballintubber Abbey in the middle of a blizzard!
I enjoyed my visit to Valerie's home on the morning of the wedding.....indeed the bride was a lady to be around as was her bridesmaids Allison, Maria and Stephanie. I enjoyed chatting with Valerie's dad Mixie as well as brother in law Derek, we recounted many an old Galway Utd story!
Onwards to the Claddagh Church to meet up with Darren, Jacob and groomsmen William, Padraic and Neil. The Claddagh is such a beautiful spot for photography and we availed of it after the ceremony for a brief photo shoot before the bridal party strolled up Quay Street to Tí Neachtain's for a pint. I always like this kind of shoot where you have normal everyday life taking place among some people, while right beside them you have a couple experiencing a life event among good friends.
Finally, we made the short journey to the very popular Claregalway Hotel where Nora and her excellent staff ensured that Valerie and Darren and all of their guests had a superb reception!
Thanks Valerie and Darren for being two good people and I look forward to crossing paths again in the near future.

Some images from the day are below and a photo slideshow can be viewed at the bottom of the page.
