Wedding Blessing Cong Mayo

28th January 2016
I was privileged to capture Summer and Tyler's wedding blessing in the majestic setting of Cong in Mayo Ireland.
This blessing was pretty special because there were just two others present for this intimate event, Fr Joseph Ryan and myself, as well as the lovely couple of course.
Summer and I started communicating last July via email so to was lovely to eventually meet them face to face prior to their big day. They were staying in the magnificent Ashford Castle, and between that and the beautiful weather that we received while they were here.....everything was looking positive for them.
Fr Joseph and I had a brief chat together about the previous occasion when we worked together (Megan and Jacob's blessing) before the beautiful Summer and Tyler arrived.
Summer looked amazing....such a beautiful looking lady with a beautiful personality to boot! I'm a happily married man Tyler so take the previous comments in the manner they're intended dude...your a lucky I'm sure she's a lucky lady.
After the majestic blessing, Fr Joseph parted for his journey back to Co Clare while the three of us took a stroll around the beautiful Cong. For any of Summer and Tyler's friends, you should have a look at an old film called "The Quite Man" which featured John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara...the film was based in this beautiful village with so many familiar landmarks. We had a drink in Cohan's pub in Cong before giddily strolling round the rest if the village before Summer and Tyler made their way back to Ashford and we said our goodbyes.
I really enjoyed my time with Summer and much so that i remember having a chat with my wife that evening. I felt genuinely blessed to be present and witness their ceremony, and part of me found it a somewhat cruel parody that after spending some special time with them witnessing and recording a very intimate life event, there is the strong possibility that we wouldn't cross paths again.
I was delighted therefore when I received correspondence from Summer when she arrived home and we've become friends on the virtual world of Facebook....not as good as the real thing but I'm happy that the feeling of friendship is reciprocated on her behalf....this is something that means a lot to me.
Thanks for trusting me Summer and Tyler and I'll be looking forward to witnessing how your married life develops from Ireland via Facebook!!!
Below are some images from their big day and a slideshow can be viewed at the bottom of the page.
