Wedding Ardilaun Hotel Galway

27th June 2013

I had the very good fortune to work alongside a fabulous couple Christine & Killian on their recent wedding in the Jes Church Galway followed by a reception in the beautiful Ardilaun House Hotel in Taylors Hill Galway.

It was evident from my first meeting with Christine & Killian how relaxed they would be on their wedding day, very much willing to accept whatever the day had in store for them!
Indeed Killian repeatedly informed me that they were "in my hands" and willing to do whatever was need in order to capture good wedding photos.....thankfully, it all came naturally as a result of their extremely positive and contagious attitude!

I arrived in Christine's home a couple of hours prior to the wedding and bumped into florist Samantha Foran who was just leaving. Samantha & her sister Louise's work is breathtaking and it was good to have a brief chin wag before venturing into meet Christine's family. Angela and Kevin were extremely welcoming and it was great to feel relaxed so quickly in a home that was bustling with excitement. Bridesmaids Sophie, Carmel,Vanessa and Geraldine were upstairs along with Christine where hair and make up were getting touched up. Things were pretty relaxed....in fact almost too much so, as when all of the girls preparations were complete, it was less than 15 minutes untill the start of the ceremony! I'm normally at the church a half hour before the mass starts so I knew things were running a bit late....but nonetheless I was happy to have waitied and captured Christine's dad Kevin's reaction when he saw his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time as seen below.

A quick dash ensued into the Jes Church Galway, by the time I got parking, Christine and Kevin were just pulling into the church.....I just about got in ahead of them!

After the beautiful ceremony, we made the short trip to the Quad in NUIG and took some photos there. Typical Irish weather meant that we experienced some warm sunshine as well as some showers in the 20 minutes or so that we were there. The Quad is brilliant in that it offers some shelter if such a situation arises.

A heavy shower fell as we made the journey back to the Ardilaun House Hotel.....a beautiful spot that offers plenty of photo opportunities indoors and out!

Thanks Christine and Killian for being a great couple, I truly enjoyed everything about your day! From witnessing the great awareness you both have to working with the Master of Video Fergul, it was a fun day and one of the most enjoyable I've had in a long time. I wish you both the very best and please God our paths will cross in the future again!

Feel free to watch the slideshow below showing some more images of a truly great day!
