Salthill Hotel Wedding Galway

17th October 2014

A pleasure to shoot this wedding for a lot of reasons!
I had covered a family wedding for the grooms side of the family a couple of years ago so it always makes matters that bit easier when you know the faces of the people that you are working for!
John Murphy of Avalon Video .........as always means we're gonna have a fun day!
Aileen's home was a haven for photography....beautiful home with lovely light everywhere!
Two lovely bridesmaids Louise & Jennifer (gutted that I was booked for Louise's wedding date next year) and Aileen's parents John and Lillian were simply troopers to chat with (as was Joe) in Aileen's home....everything just flowed effortlessly!

Aileen and John were unlucky in a sense that the rain started to fall when we crossed the border into Galway en route to the Salthill Hotel.....we had to take a "rain cheque" because of the rain!!
We headed into the shelter of the Quad in NUIG and unfortunately just arrived as another Bridal party were. I appreciate Aileen and John's patience shooting here as we had to wait a considerable length of time to use "arches" section of the Quad....they were brilliant however and made my day so easy!!!
We maew the short run to the Salthill Hotel where Pauline and her team know how to look after couples (and wedidng professionals for that matter!!).
The Wondertones had the place rocking 'til the early hours of the morning...totally appropriate for the couple that they were playing for!!

Thanks Aileen and John for being two good laid back people to work with.

To say that I enjoyed myself would be an understatement so thanks lads for simply being who you are!!

Some images from the day are below and a photo slideshow can be viewed at the bottom of the page.

James and Ella Louise were brilliant in front of the camera!

...really, how cute are they!!
