Salthill Hotel Wedding Marie & Robert

29th August 2013

Definitely one of the most happiest couples that I've had the pleasure of working with at a wedding!
I first met Rob and Maria a year ago when they were making their wedding arrangements, and was delighted when they booked me on the spot for their big day.
We met up again a few days before the wedding and it was pretty evident that they were going to take everything in their stride.
They were lucky (or some would say unlucky) in that they were married on possibly the hottest day that I've ever worked at a wedding......but fair play to them both for making arrangements regarding same for their guests!
After the ceremony, temperatures were in the high twenties but Marie and Robert had arranged an Ice Cream Van which had plenty of supplies to help guests keep cool! Dreamcatcher Productions were doing the video....two great lads whose company I enjoyed thoroughly.
We headed off to the nearby Pallas Castle after we had the family portraits covered on the church grounds....the shadowed shelter of the high walls offering some respite to those the groomsmen decked out in three quarter length jackets.
After our short shoot there, Galway beckoned and we made our journey to the Salthill Hotel in Galway. We availed of the park beside the hotel for some more photos before bringing the bridal party over to the beach where we could all cool down with the fresh breeze blowing. Whilst over there, Marie spotted the amusements in Salthill and couldn't restrain herself from enjoying a spin on them with her new husband.....just a typical "happy out" thing for the newlyweds to do on their big day.
It's truly a privilege to be around such good people such as Marie and Robert on their wedding day, doesn't feel like work at all when your in such company.
Thanks for a great day lads and I hope we cross paths again in the near future.
