Renvyle House Hotel Wedding

01st August 2013

This was a wedding that I was looking forward to for some time....Renvyle and it's surrounding areas is such a beautiful place and I knew from meeting with Angela and Ken that they would be a treat to work with.

From the moment I arrived in Angela's home (and the lovely warm welcome that greeted me) right through 'til the music late in the night from Silkwood in the Renvyle House Hotel, the day could be simply summarised by stating that it was brilliant and I truly enjoyed my day at work.

It's great working with fellow wedding suppliers that share the same ethos as I do....and this appies to Pat from Wedding cars Ireland who I work with regularly and is a true professional in his duties.....always putting the Bride and Groom's needs as his top priority.
Angela and Ken's wedding was also my first time working with Videographer Pat Coyne.....a complete gentleman and I hope our paths cross again in the future.....a pleasure to work with.

Angela's home was very active and very welcoming on the morning of the wedding....banter was mighty with Mum and Dad Kathleen and Seamus and Bridesmaids Anna Marie, Caitríona, Rachael, Zara and Megan.
Ken's preparations took place in the Renvyle House Hotel and and I also nipped in there the morning of the wedding to meet up with him and the great bunch of lads that were his groomsmen Mick, MJ, Brian, Willie and young Jake. They were the typical men when I arrived....all out studying (and kicking the tyres)the magnificent Maserati Bridal car. I must admit to getting a fright when the car was started by Pat.......the noise of the engine roaring would get your heartbeat up if you weren't prepared for it!

The ceremony took place in Tullycross Church beside Renvyle and fair play to Angela for being fairly prompt in her arrival.
I believe it's tradition to head across to Paddy Coyne's pub in Tullycross after the ceremony, and it's there where Angela [poured pints for the two men in her life.....her dad Seamus and her new husband Ken!
After some refreshments there, we made the short journey to Kylemore to avail of it's beautiful landscape and take some images with the bridal party. There's a lot of nauture on display in Kylemore and it's a haven for photos......indeed Willie gave us the opportunity to grab shots that aren't the norm.....but their probably best left off the internet, my website is child friendly!!!
We also took a spin to Tullycross beach after Kylemore, the beach is directly en route to the Renvyle House Hotel and fair play to the bridal party for their enthusiasm in grabbing more shots here.
Family Portraits were squeezed in at the hotel before the meal (thanks to Ronnie and his staff for their patience), and fair play to Silkwood for their lively performance ensuring a packed dance floor.
Angela and Ken, thanks so much for being a dream to work with! Almost finished the first draft of your wedding album and I look forward to hooking up in the very near future!!
