Wedding Radisson Blu Hotel Galway

25th December 2014

Carol and Padhraig's wedding was pretty special.... two genuine people who were nothing short of a treat to work with, a lot of good wedding suppliers working at this wedding, breathtaking music in the church followed by superb floor stamping music at the Hotel, and indeed guests who were simply out to enjoy themselves...a really good day!
Carol's home was a short spin from my home which is always a good thing on a wedding morning....thanks so much to Tina (Carol's Bridesmaid) and mum Chrissy for making it a very welcoming home!
Always nice to see Pat arriving from Wedding Cars Ireland, we always squeeze in time for a "chin wag".
St Joseph's church is a beautiful church in Galway City that I love working in....lovely light and fantastic arches that are great for photographers! Always a treat to meet Nicola McGuire (Wedding's Online - Church Singer of The Year) accompanied by Dave Mongan and the enchanting Galway Gospel Choir....real stop you in your tracks music....awesome stuff lads!
The Promenade in Salthill as well as the "Circle of Life Garden"...indeed officially re-named from Quincentennial Park that day by President Michael D Higgins were our venues for Bridal photos before making our way back to the brilliant Radisson Blu Hotel for a wonderful reception.
John Murphy from Avalon Video was my companion at this wedding as well as my dinner partner for a delicious meal....really loved the detail in which Carol and Padhraig had the tablkes presented....old 7' records names with magnificent bands of the 80's & 90's!! Had a good chin wag with Padhraig during the meal too.....came down and sat with John and I for a while....a really good genuine guy who had time for everyone!
After the meal, the superb Kilvin Gilmore (...nervous having my camera in my hands in front of this Master!!) and Kif took to the stage and had the place hoppin'....really great performance!!
I'm truly grateful that two lovely people such as Carol and Padhraig trusted me for their wedding photos...I really enjoyed the day and meeting up with some of the best wedding suppliers around. I'm also truly grateful for the gift they brought when collecting their family had a great day out as a result of their generosity...thanks lads!!
I look forward to crossing paths with you both again in the future lads, and in the meantime, Merry Christmas!!
Some images of the day are below and a photoslideshow is available at the bottom of the page
