McWilliam Park Hotel wedding Claremorris Mayo

05th December 2016
Joanne and Ollie's wedding is right up there win the list of weddings that I've enjoyed most....quite simply because of the type of people that they are....genuine, caring and two people that obviously love each other!
On occasion, couples can be overwhelmed on their wedding day with all kinds of emotions ...some of them can be negative and hinder their enjoyment of the big day.....and then there's the positive emotions that comes with having close family and friends surrounding you with positivity and love that can't help but put you on a high....and I think Joanne and Ollie certainly experienced a "high"!
Weather wise, wedding day started off pretty horrifically....but in no way that it dampen the spirits of Joanne and her bridesmaids Fionnuala, Amanda, Lorraine and Charlene...they were giddy and happy as hell, and lovely to be around them and witness this at close quarters.
Equally when I arrived at the church, Ollie and his groomsmen Coleman, Brendan, Paul and Rocky were equally as happy and positive....such a treat not to have to try and cajole them into any photos, they were simply very giving of their time and energy...thanks lads!
After the beautiful ceremony, we had to avail of the shelter of the church for both the family portraits and the bridal really was pretty miserable....and then something wonderful happened. As we were making or way to the cars for our trip to the McWilliam Park Hotel, it suddenly stopped. Granted it was very breezy but it was music to my ears when Joanne suggested we try and grab some images in Urlaur Abbey....I loved her enthusiasm and was delighted that she was going to make the most of her wedding photos!
Fair pay to McWilliam Park Hotel for their assistance on wedding day.....we were a few minutes late arriving and they were so accommodating with their schedule and really helped Joanne and Ollie relax on arrival.
Speeches were very funny and included a very entertaining slide show, and the fantastic Bumblebee Honey ensured that the lovely couple had a rockin' dance floor!
Joanne and Ollie, I'm truly grateful that you choose me as your wedding photographer.....your two great people whose company I thoroughly enjoyed ( as well as that of your bridal party) and please God we'll cross paths in the near future again.
Until them, Mind yourselves!
