Knockranny House Hotel Weddings

04th July 2016
Never had the privilege of being in Boffenaun previously....and will definitely enjoy and visits I have there again, a beautiful town amidst some wonderful West of Ireland Landscape!
The journey to Boffeenaun meant that I had to take the "Windy Gap" road out of Castlebar.....never traveled it before but when you get within a few miles of Boffeenaun, every corner you turn offers up some majestic views and I was excited at the thought of some of the images that we would hopefully get later that day.
Two familiar faces at Linda's home made the day even more enjoyable....John Murphy of Avalon Video was looking after Video duties...always makes matters easier, and of course a treat to bump into Malvina Barrett on make up duties...ironically I has bumped into Malvina the previous day too at another wedding! Malvina is jolly, professional and a great team player, just like John Murphy!
Linda's home is pretty close to the church in Boffeenaun and I was delighted that she decided to walk the couple of hundred yards with her bridesmaids and family....something that isn't done too often in this day and age and isn't it lovely to walk to the church on your wedding day surrounded by your family!
St Mary's Church in Boffeenaun is excellent for photography....plenty of natural light being bounced around inside and lending itself to some good imagery.
After the ceremony, Linda and Terence had refreshments arranged in the Community Centre next door....a nice touch for those that may have travelled a bit on wedding day and indeed it kept people nourished until we arrived in Knockranny.....I'm afraid I robbed a few of the tasty buns that were available to guests....signs are on me that I don;t need to be eating them, but lord they were delicious!!
Luckily the weather was plying ball with us after the community centre and we used the views on the windy gap for some bridal's s busy spot with plenty of cars passing regularly but thanks to the patience of Linda and Terence as well as their bridal party Karen, Leona and well of course as the groomsmen Paul, Barry and Ciarán for being co-operative and good fun!
Our final stop was the beautiful Knockranny House Hotel where the co-ordinators there Claire and Stephen really know how to look after couples and their guests...a place I love working in!
Thank you Linda and Terence for trusting me with your wedding were lovely to be around and work with and please god we'll cross paths again in the near future....until then, mind yourselves!
