Humanist Ceremony Clayton Hotel

04th August 2016
Kellie and Martin's were married in an entertaining, funny and witty, Huamanist ceremony in the Clayton Hotel Galway.
Kellie had been a bridesmaid at Anita and Ciaran's wedding that I had worked at over a year ago....and the tables were now reversed with Anita being a bridesmaid for Kellie! Colm and Helen were also guests at Kellie and Martin's wedding and it's always a treat to be around people that I've worked with before......I have to be careful of my camera equipment however when Colm's around!
Kellie and Martin made the long journey from their Sweden base in the most classy of cars....a Mustang! It's some machine, has a serious growl, as well as lending itself to some nice images too!
As I mentioned, the ceremony was entertaining and witty which I think was a reflection of Martin and Kellie's personalities, and the music was provided by the excellent Seán De Burca
After their ceremony (....which for the record was as enjoyable a ceremony that I was ever present at) we made the journey to Maree in Oranmore for some photos. I'm truly grateful to bridesmaids Mary, Anita and Alice the bridesmaids for their patience during the shoot. It was warm with a fairly harsh sun making things difficult, but they were great girleens!!
The lads were equally as accommodation for the photography.....indeed from the moment I met Carsten, Linus and Ulrick (Martin's groomsmen) that morning, they were gentlemen and couldn't do enough for the photography.....and God knows some of the poses had them outside of their comfort zone!!!
Karina Duffy is the multi award winning Wedding Co-Coordinator in the Clayton Hotel (....an absolute pleasure to work with her....a true team player), and she also drove the bridesmaids (who are also close friends of hers) to the photo shoot (who were also good friends of hers).
After out time in Maree, we headed back to the excellent Clayton Hotel for s super reception....and the party atmosphere was just starting when we arrived as Connaught were playing the Pro 12 final against Leinster, and all of the whoopping and cheering coming from guests watching tv's in the bar left you under no illusion that things were going well for Connaught.
All in all, it was an excellent day for a wedding that turned into a through the roof evening as one of Galway's finest wedding bands Raindance had the place buzzing for the remainder of the night.
Thanks Kellie and Martin for being two exceptionally lovely people to work with and be around on your wedding day.....I truly hope we cross paths again in the future, and until then, safe driving!!
