Galway Bay Hotel weddings

06th January 2016
Louise and Kurt's wedding recently took place in the beautiful Claddagh Church Galway with a reception in the Galway Bay Hotel in Salthill....two of my favourites places to work!
Kurt is from the USA with the result that he stayed in the hotel the night before the wedding (as did Louise) and this allowed by to capture some preparations in both rooms. Kurt's mum and dad (Berta and Jim) were great to be around....and indeed I could've put my deep up and shot the breeze with Berta all day long.....a lovely approachable lady!
Louise looked stunning and was ably assisted on wedding morning by Michelle, Deirdre, Edel and Sharon...lovely girls who were a treat to work with! I should also give an honourable mention to Kurt's men too.....Billy, Kevin, Andrew and Alan......thanks lads for being great sports!
The Claddagh Church is beautiful....when you add in the grounds that are on it's door step, it's amazing and a spot I love working in. I was even happier with matters when I arrived at the church and heard the amazing vocals of Nicola McGuire who was accompanied by the excellent Dave Mongan....always love working with, chatting with, and listening to Nicola and Dave....awesome performers and simply the best!
After the ceremony, we used the Claddagh Landscape for some images before working our way back to the Memorial Park directly next door top the Galway Bay Hotel....such a great place for photos and super handy that it's directly next door to the hotel. Our last port of call was a quick trip to the promenade in salthill.....another place I love frequenting! Full of goodwill, I never get bored listening to the good wishes extended to married couples and how the people go Galway always make a couple feel special on their wedding day.
Our final stop was in the brilliant Galway Bay Hotel....the place where I was married and has the best staff in Galway.
Thanks Louise and Kurt for trusting mw with your wedding photography and I hope your happy with your results.
Wishing both the very best and please God we'll cross paths again in the future!
