Maria and Seosamh's wedding in Claregalway Co Galway

01st September 2014

If I had to pick a wedding which was a "Ground Hog" wedding....that is one that I had to relive every day, it might very well be this one.
Maria and Seosamh are two great people to be around, as are their families, and this along with the good spirits of the bridesmaids and groomsmen just lent itself to being an exceptionally good one to be involved in.
Only when I arrived in Maria's home (which is in a majestic setting btw) did I realize that I knew her parents Anne and Gerry. Their home is a very welcoming one it was great to capture the activity with close relations and the jovial manner that was present on the wedding morning. Maria is a lady as were her bridesmaids Patricia, Helen and Louise. Maria was well prepared on the morning of her wedding and I love it when brides are conscious of the clock and allow me time to get to the church and take some photos before they arrive themselves.

Seosamh and his merry men of Mick, David and Eric were in equally good spirits when I arrived in Claregalway church. We had some fun with the photos before the ceremony started pretty punctually.

I come across lots of different types of music at weddings and there are several good singers/musicians that I'm lucky to witness, but the music for Maria and Seosamh's wedding was something that was so good that it stopped me in my tracks on more than one occasion. Beautiful traditional arrangements and singing that was nothing short of awesome.....I was glad to see that they had Pascal Brooks working on video as it would be a pity not to have a life long memory of same. It's terrible that I can't recall who the performers were other than I know that they were friends of Seosamh who is a trad man himself!

After the ceremony and the family portraits were taken, we headed off to Maria's home which offered up several superb photo opportunities.
We relaxed and got some quality photo time (and Seosamh also had some running repairs to look after....first time I ever saw a groom with a bloody shirt!!!) in Maria's home before making the very short journey to the Claregalway Hotel.

I really liked the attention to detail that Maria and Seosamh had arranged in the super Claregalway Hotel. A very busy spot for weddings and I love the several different color schemes that they offer to couples.....and I really liked their chosen green (which I believe is Seosamh's club colors also)!!

Thanks a million lads for being great to work with....really enjoyed myself and your company and please God we'll cross paths in the near future again.

Photo slideshow can also be viewed at the bottom of the page.

Love the above selection of shots....a father seeing his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time.....hope I get to experience that someday too!

Seosamh needs a bis of persuasion to get into the church from the lads!!

....a penny for them Seosamh!

√Čanna's looking sharp!!
