Civil Ceremony Breaffy House Hotel Castlebar

07th July 2014

Niamh and John recently celebrated a Civil Ceremony wedding in Breaffy House Hotel Castlebar Mayo.
I met Niamh and John on a couple of occasions prior to their wedding (calling to the studio as well as meeting them at other weddings)....always great when your not strangers with a couple on a wedding day!
Their daughter Christina is like something from a Disney pretty and chatty, a very endearing little lady!
I was able to call to both Niamh and John and record both their wedding preparations in the morning, one of the advantages of a Civil ceremony and being in a position to get ready on site! I was working alongside Vivid Eye Video (Paul McDermott) in Breaffy, a great guy who travelled all the way from Dublin to record the big day.
Although Civil Ceremonies are brief, a man on a bike could see how much the moment meant to Niamh and John and it's always a pleasure to capture emotional moments such as those at close quarters.
Breaffy has some beautifully landscaped walks on their estate and we availed of them after the ceremony for the bridal shoot. Rain drizzled lightly for a short while but the mature trees offered us protection and we were in a position to relax with some drinks away from the the bustle of wedding guests while grabbing some photos.
Niamh and John were so relaxed (and in love!) that the time we spent outdoors taking images was super.....great to be in the presence of people with awareness and joviality on wedding days!

Thanks lads for being great people to work with and indeed be around.....your energy was brilliant and I truly enjoyed your big day and look forward to crossing paths again in the future!
