Ardilaun Hotel Wedding Galway

22nd January 2016
A pleasure to be with Paula and Owen on their wedding day last October. Paula is a lady....any request was greeted with a delightful "no problem", or "I'd love that"....makes the day so enjoyable and stress free! Owen is a gentleman (and a very well groomed one at that), also extremely cooperative and more than willing to give time to the photography on his big day....thanks lads!
Paul's preparations took place in the hotel on wedding morning. Paula's hotel room was a bundle of fun...plenty of hydration left on the tables (ahem), bridesmaids Kate, Denise, Abby and Michaela all chilled and enjoying themselves while assisting Paula!
The Claddagh church is one of my favourite churches...the landscape on it's doorstep is majestic and the church is well lit and spacious.
Owen was accompanied by groomsmen Johnny, Paschal, Darren and Bobby as well as pageboy Darragh (aka James Bond)...all great lads who were troopers to work with!
This was the first wedding that I've covered where the bride and groom walked up the aisle together.....and a great idea too!
After the ceremony, we availed of the Memorial gardens on Salthill as well as a brief spin to the prom for some images before heading back to the excellent Ardilaun Hotel for a fantastic "Movie Themed" reception.
Paula and Owen's guests were definitely up for some fun, and some of the group shots that we got back in the hotel showed that.....indeed I can still hear and feel the smack that one unfortunately guest received on his backside from a friend!! All in jest and indeed great fun!
Thanks Own and Paula for being who you were on your wedding day...two lovely genuine people who were simply happy out on your big day...and I'm grateful to have recorded that a close quarters!
I'm sure we'll cross paths very soon again lads!
