Aisling & Cathal's wedding in the Salthill Hotel Galway

28th February 2017
Aisling and Cathal's Christmas wedding was another one of those gems that I seemed to be getting so much of over the recent past!
It helps when you know the people that your working with on wedding days....being relaxed in their company (..and hopefully them in yours) helps us all!
So many familiar faces on wedding day, at time I had to concentrate as I was getting a bit too laid back speaking to everyone....factor in my friend and neighbor John Murphy from Avalon Video working alongside me and it truly was an "informal" day.
Loved Aisling's cosy home on wedding morning and the warm welcome received. Such a beautiful family...three beautiful girls that have wonderful personalities to match their beautiful looks....warm, engaging and humble!
Over to Claran Church to meet Cathal and the lads.....and a sight I've never seen prior to a wedding.....the lads having some hydration prior to the ceremony! Laid back and having the craic with guests arriving....a true Irish wedding!
Fr Ray and Fr Martin celebrated the beautiful mass.....Fr Ray the gentleman that he always is....approachable, friendly and helping everyone get the best they can from the day, indeed I love being in his company on wedding days.
After the ceremony, the Anglers Rest was our first port of call. Always think it's great to have a photo of the bride and groom in their's the only day in their lives that they'll be in there wearing their wedding attire! We didn't delay too long before making the trip to the Quad in NUIG....a great place for photos is it's wet or windy, and we were having a bit of both as the afternoon progressed.
Our final stop was the excellent Salthill Hotel for a wonderful reception. It's a busy hotel, and busy for a reason, they're excellent at what they do and a well oiled machine when it comes to weddings!
Shane Cunninghman entertained guests during the meal and The Lewd Tunes had the floor hopping for a brilliant night!

Thanks Aisling and Cathal for trusting me with your wedding photography. I really enjoyed the day as well as your company. Cathal, you made a craicing heart felt wedding that any other groom that I work with will do well to emulate....witty but compassionate, well done young man! I wish you both the very best and I'll look forward to bumping into you both and crossing paths in Headford!
In the mean time, mind one another!
